TUITION & FEES

Tuition is based on a yearly amount that is divided into ten equal monthly payments, regardless of how many school days there are in a month. Tuition is as follows:

Tuition Schedule & Payment Details

Tuition fees are billed in 10 equal monthly installments from August through May. Please Note: While not all months of the school year have the same days in attendance, tuition is prorated according to the total number of school days for the year so that all ten payments are equal.

Each month's tuition is billed in advance via email. Accounts must be paid in full prior to services for the next month. Tuition payments are due on the 20th of the preceding month. A late fee of $25 will be assessed if payment is received after the 5th of the month. Non-payment and delinquent accounts will result in the cancellation of all services.

Multiple Child Discounts

For children of the same household, tuition rates are reduced by 10% for the second child’s tuition and 20% for the third child’s tuition. 

Enrollment & Registration Fees

  • A non-refundable processing fee of $50.00 is required for each child's enrollment. 

  • A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required for each child at the time of registration. This deposit is non-refundable and it is applied to your child's first month's tuition.

Late Pick Up Fee

Children picked up after 6:15 pm will be charged a late fee of $1 per minute, per child.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

  • FREE and EASIEST way to pay is via https://my.smartcare.com/ or via the Smartcare for Parents app.

  • ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER (EFT) – You must complete and sign the authorization form which will allow for monthly payments to be made from your checking account, savings account, credit card, or debit card.

  • PERSONAL CHECKS should be made payable to Silo Center.

  • CASH should be handed directly to a program employee.

As required by the Commonwealth of Virginia, each child must have on file:

 

  • Virginia School Entrance Health Form completed and signed by both the parent and the physician, including immunizations. You may download the Health Form by clicking here

  • A copy of your child’s original birth certificate or passport. We will make a copy of the document and return the original immediately. We must verify that the original certificate was presented. 

Your child will not be permitted to attend The Back Pack without the above documents on file within the Silo Office.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Should you need to withdrawal your child(ren) from The Back Pack program, a written 14-day notice is required. Withdrawal that occurs without a 14-day notice will require a full month's tuition. Withdrawal that occurs with a 14-day notice will receive prorated tuition. 

The Back Pack admits children of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to children at the center. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its instruction, admissions, or other childcare administrated programs.
